The PPH Project is dedicated to tackling the global issue of postpartum hemorrhage, a leading cause of maternal mortality and morbidity.
The End Postpartum Haemorrhage Initiative project leaders, Prof Moses Obimbo and Dr Kireki Omanwa, held a consultative meeting with the Presidential advisory team on health. The discussions, held on 30th September 2025, focused on how the Office of the President can partner with the PPH Foundation to advance the fight against preventable maternal deaths. The project leads explained the strategic pillars and objectives of the initiative. The meeting was convened by Dr Thuranira Kaugiri, Technical Lead – Health in the Presidential Economic Transformational Secretariat. Also present were officials from the Ministry of Health. Both parties agreed to exchange notes and hold follow-up meetings to foster an effective partnership.
