The PPH Project is dedicated to tackling the global issue of postpartum hemorrhage, a leading cause of maternal mortality and morbidity.
Dr Kireki Omanwa, EPPH-i project co-lead and president of the Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society, formally appealed to all Stakeholders to support the PPH Run through financial or kind support, participant mobilization, and personnel participation. Dr Kireki cited Prof Mahmoud Fathalla, former Director General WHO, who said, “Women are not dying because of a disease we cannot treat, they are dying because societies are yet to make the decision that their lives are worth saving.” Dr Kireki continued to say that now that EPPH-i has set out to mobilize society to decide to save lives, let each one of us commit to support the EPPH Save Her Life campaign.
