INTENSIFYING MEDIA ADVOCACY IN FIGHTING POSTPARTUM HEMORRHAGE IN KENYA

Activity Description

The EPPH-i convened a meeting of various media houses on 22nd August 2025 at Pan Pacific suites in Nairobi to amplify their awareness campaign against postpartum hemorrhage. The media houses present included Nation, Standard, People Daily, Citizen Radio and TV, Eastleigh Voice, TV 47, KBC, KTN and several others. The media were briefed by the project lead Prof Moses Obimbo and co-leads Dr Kireki Omanwa, Dr Eunice Atsali, Prof Julius Ogeng’o as well as other EPPH champions present during the 5th PPH stakeholders’ consultative forum. The media team listened to the presentations, panel and plenary discussions as well as undertaking individual interviews before proceeding to broadcast the advocacy messages.
